Many, many troops who are deployed get leave back home at the 6 month point.

it is funny because of the tag line but on a 12-18 month deployment you get two weeks of leave. You can take that leave starting after 90 days in country up to about 60-90 days before departing.

if you people would read the caption you would realize the photo has to due with the child, not the pregnant woman
By anon on April 6, 2010
Um, anon, the caption does clearly refer to the child, however, it still states a 12 month leave and there is a woman with a belly reading welcome home daddy.

Yes, the troops get a break or two over long deployments. When my brother-in-law was in Iraq a few years ago for a 10 month deployment, he flew back to his wife at around the 6 month mark (actually met her in Europe) for a little over a week.
Stop thinking the worst, and give our troops a break.

it’s called R&R, rest and relaxation.

We tried during my fiances R&R… no luck… he would have gotten home to me at 7 months pregnant and by now we would have an almost 2 month old baby… instead I’m 5 months pregnant now!

the pregnant woman may not be the boys mother.
By Anonymous on May 10, 2010
how would that even be possible

I’m pretty sure the author’s trying to point out that she either cheated or became artificially impregnated during his 12 MONTH service. But leaning more towards the “cheating theory” because it’s funnier than the other option

maybe it is the second coming of christ

I find it extremely irritating when people still say dumb things in comments even after many other comments point out the truth of the matter: That this pregnancy was brought about on the Serviceman’s R&R leave.

I find it extremely irritating when people still say disdainful things in the comments even after many other comments point out the truth of the matter: That this post was intended to be a joke that they ruined by taking it too seriously.

The size of her belly compared to her body still doesnt match up at 12 months if she got knocked up the 6th month of service.
